Senate Must Work Quickly to Pass Build Back Better Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the House passed the historic Build Back Better Act by a vote of 220-213. This momentous bill will make much-needed investments in millions of everyday Americans and takes major steps towards rebalancing our economy by making the rich and corporations start to pay their fair share.

Tax March Campaign Director Sarah Baron gave the following statement:

“Despite opposition from Republican representatives who refuse to make the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share of taxes, House Democrats chose everyday Americans and passed a historic and popular bill today that will help bring us one step closer to a fair economy for all. With historic investments in child care, paid leave, housing, health care, climate and more, it is imperative that Senate Democrats quickly pass the bill—the American people are depending on it.”
